Epistolary

On the whole, letters are and will continue to be an excellent means of making an impression on a woman—the dead letters of writing often have more influence than the living word. The letter is an intimate communication; she is alone with herself in the world, with your words billowing around her. Among an endless parade of distractions, a letter takes us into a timeless dream world of fantasy, even for fleeting stolen moments. Illicit and thrilling, we can slip fully into oblivion, feeling no pressure from anyone’s actual presence. Direct presence, at first, prevents ecstasy. When she feels that delicious poison seep into her blood, then words can bring visions so tangible she can taste them, suggestion alone sending her to frenzy.
